These services include the refurbishment of passenger rolling stock, repowering of locomotives, supply of new traction systems, manufacture and overhaul of train doors and air conditioning systems. In addition we are able to offer a full train maintenance service including the overhaul of diesel power packs and cooler groups, air brake equipment, wheelsets, bogies, dampers, buffers, diesel engines, traction motors and alternators. We also provide a total range of off-site services at our customers’ own facilities, which can be located anywhere in the UK.
All our products and services are supported by our in-house engineering team. By combining the engineering resources of the Wabtec Group companies we are able to provide to our customers a complete design service encompassing passenger stock interior design, new traction and control systems, locomotive diesel engine repowering, retro-fit air conditioning system design and re-engineered rolling stock door systems.

Wabtec Rail have developed a particular expertise in the life extension, overhaul, maintenance and refurbishment of railway rolling stock. Located on a 22 acre site alongside the East Coast mainline Doncaster Works has a long and proud history in the construction and maintenance of trains, the works being the birthplace of famous steam locomotives such as the Flying Scotsman and the world steam speed record holder Mallard.
The facility at Kilmarnock was completely transformed in 1990 with the construction of a new modern well-equipped factory to meet the challenges of today’s railway. The factory is ideally suited to handling multiple units and rakes of coaches. The core business is repairing, refreshing and overhauling rail vehicles, wheelsets and components.
Offering a wide range of products for the Rail Industry. The Brush name has been synonymous with quality engineering and the supply of railway equipment since 1865. The company has produced state-of- the-art locomotives and propulsion systems for passenger carrying vehicles worldwide. Brush Traction is also highly experienced and equipped in refurbishment and re-engineering geared towards revitalising and improving older assets.
Established in 1953, LH is a re- manufacturer of power-train products. Continuously pursuing its ethics of quality, safety and reliability, the company is a highly respected front line supplier.
Set on a 21 acre site, our specialist workshops and re-manufacturing facilities house some of the most advanced re-manufacturing and testing equipment available.
